Finally

I'm back. I have been gone, just because I just really didn't care about blogging.  I had no desire to do it so I just didn't.  I'm just going to start off with our latest trip we took, which was back in September.  We went to the beach for a week and Henry loved every minute of it.  He loved the sand and water.  He learned how to feed the seagulls and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Update on Henry:  Henry is talking talking talking.  He learns a new word everyday and is saying almost full sentences.  He knows so many animals, counts to 3,  knows blue and green, and lots more. Makes me kind of sad that my baby boy is becoming a big boy.  He is so hilarious, making Trent and I laugh all the time. Henry's favorite place is outside playing with the cows, bugs, and dirt.  He is such a boy.

Henry's stats

Yesterday we made our way to the doctors for Henry's 1 year check up. I hate the doctors, I hate going, I hate taking Henry. They take forever, they dont care that they take forever (seriously how can I keep my 1 year old entertained for 30 minutes?), and they give Henry shots (which I know is a good thing in the end, but I still hate it).

Henry at 1 year

Weight: 22lbs 13oz
Height: 30.25 inches
Head: 18.5 inches

I love my big boy.

Henry is 1

One year ago i met the cutest (okay he was kind of weird looking) little baby boy. He finally popped out after 12 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing. It's funny because my sister was looking at his birth pictures and I'm crying in some and she asked if it was because i finally got to see and hold Henry. I answered....NO I was so relieved he was finally out and I didn't have to push anymore. Henry has been the best blessing to mine and Trent's lives. He is such a happy and fun baby. Henry loves other little kids, loves to try and keep up with them and do what they do. I swear he is the smartest baby (i know all parents say that). He knows so much, he understands so much. Henry loves animals and if you ask where one is, he will point it out to you. So far Henry knows turtle, kitty, dog, lion, rooster, duck. Is working on cow, tiger, horse, hippo, pig, and more. Tomorrow we have his 1 year check up, so I will keep you posted on his stats.

Random Updates

Here are some random pictures of what is going on in our life...really not that much.
Henry's favorite things to do are reading his books (serious we can sit for an hour reading books and he would be fine) and to be naked, sometimes both at the same time.

Henry started swimming lessons in January. He loves watching the other kids more then doing stuff himself, but still has fun.

Henry has a new cousin. Dakota Ann Whittaker was born January 10th. He gives her kisses and thats about it.

Henry had his first snow. He was sick so he only got to touch it, but loved watching it fall through the window.
Everything has been going pretty good. No big or exciting news. I'm at home with Henry busy being a mom. Trent is staying busy doing welding work at a local farm and making reclaimed wood tables. He has already sold 3 and has a couple lined up to be built. So if anyone wants one let us know. Henry is almost one year, has 7 teeth, walks, says lots of words and sounds, loves his kitty and jumping on his bed.

Quick beach visit

We took a really quick visit to the beach in January. Trent tested with Tillamook Paramedic and needed to be in town early. He didn't get the job, but we still had a great weekend. We had beautiful weather for walks on the beach, which Henry loved...especially the sand.

Henry's First Chirstmas

We opened presents at home in the morning with our little family. Henry was more interested in the ribbon then anything else, but it was still fun experiencing his first Christmas..

Henry's First present from Grandma Nanci was an alligator walker (which he love love loves).
Henry's second present from Grandma Nanci, a turtle (which mommy hate hate hates).
